This weekend I was visiting my parents in my home town and I usually make a point to go shop at the local thrift shops. I didn't find much but I did find a really cute dress by the American Shirt Dress and I can't wait to put it up in the shop!
I wasn't sure about the print at first but I kinda love it now. Of course it's not in my size. Boo for vintage sizes.
Then we went to the swap meet which is mostly a lot of dollar store junk, sunglasses and bad purses, but there was one booth full of antiques and fun stuff. I scored a big yellow Pyrex mixing bowl for a steal of a deal!
I also reclaimed some of my sewing things from my old room, some old thread spools and this cute needle case. Which I'm guessing was an advertisement for "Lucky Stores Fine Food":
The bookstore also provided this gem:
Yeah, totally feeding my addiction.
Then we found this suitcase at the antique mall:
I can't wait to use it as a prop but for now I think I'm going to use it to hold some of my craft supplies for easy access.
It was a super good weekend on the shopping front, plus I got to see one of my best friends and trained to work for my Mom's company. Tomorrow I'll get cracking on my muse photo for the 52 project.
